Fleet managers find themselves facing an uneven situation (tractors and trailers with and without original TPMS) and in any case with the need to be able to detect the data (pressure and temperature), analyze it remotely, and make decisions (even preventive ones) to optimize tire management and life<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Italsensor FLEET<\/strong><\/a>, compliant with EU R141 regulation, is Italmatic’s new complete solution for fleets of trucks, trailers, buses and earth movers. The solution includes the detection of the pressure and temperature data of each tire by an intelligent control unit installed on both tractor and trailer, and the transmission of the data to the cloud via a dedicated telematic box, to make it accessible to the fleet manager. It is also possible the integration with third-party providers of telematic services which may already offer telematic services on the fleet vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The control unit supports various communication technologies, including CAN<\/strong>, RS232<\/strong>, RS485<\/strong> and 2.4 GHz BLE<\/strong> communications for telematics integration. Italmatic also offers a complete range of cables and connectors that allow the installation of the control unit in a smooth, quick and reliable manner regardless of the type of EBS<\/strong> system adopted by the trailers (Wabco, Haldex, Knorr).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The sensors can be both internal<\/strong> (either fixed to valve\u00a0or banded ) and external<\/strong> to satisfy all the needs and preferences of the fleet manager. Especially in the case of the external sensor, the installation process is extremely easy and fast, ideal for retrofitting on fleets that necessarily need to minimize vehicle downtime: just screw the external sensor to the valve and the system will be configured simply, using one smartphone and the NFC technology embedded into the sensor.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The external sensor is integrated with a flow-through extension, and therefore will not interfere with normal tire inflation (not being necessary to dismount it), thus avoiding the risk of damage or loss.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The solution is also including: external Flexi sensors, already integrated with rubber extensions (useful for fitting into the internal twin wheels); a telematics box (T-Box) equipped with a 4G sim card including three-year data plan for transmission to the cloud; a Bluetooth display in-cabin (optional); a kit of mechanical tools useful to properly assembling the external sensors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The system allows the management of up to 6 trailers, and provides automatic detection and connection of the coupled trailer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

A dedicated smartphone app (iOS\/Android), intuitive and free of charge for solution customers, is used to configure the system via Bluetooth , associating the sensor IDs to the wheels, and setting various customizable alerts and warning parameters.<\/div>\n

At the same time the App can optionally be used to read\/display the TPMS Fleet data of any vehicle\/asset within BLE range (for example. as an alternative to a in-cabin display).<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

The sensors and intelligent control unit of the Italsensor FLEET solution are also suitable as an OE solution<\/strong> for tractor and\/or trailer manufacturers. In the case of tractors, the control unit can be integrated with a specific protocol to the vehicle cluster, supporting the sensor reset functions (for example after changing wheel position) and OBD diagnostics (for example, after the change of damaged sensors).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The FLEET solution is also available in a “garage-box<\/strong>” configuration, useful when vehicles park on a certain basis at the same place (for example, at a parking area, a petrol station, a goods loading area): in this case it is It is possible to install a garage-box totem (consisting of a control unit and T-Box) near the interested area and detect the data from the TPMS sensors every time the vehicle is close to it.
