Patented machine for carving and regrooving OTR tires

Robotic system for regrooving and carving new or existing grooves, also suitable for repairing OTR tires from 24″ to 63″. Equipped with an interchangeable plate clamping system, KUKA anthropomorphic robot, electrospindle with liquid cooling chiller, 10-position tool rack, safety fences and gates.
A joystick system allows the operator to define the starting point of the groove, with the ability to repeat the machining program using programmable step increments.

The tool path can be selected by positioning the laser pointer at the groove’s vertex and acquiring various path points: the system will connect each point to create the desired shape, which can then be machined individually or repeated as programmed.

A CAD-CAM system can also be used (optional) for complex shapes or advanced carving patterns.
